I initially pitched the idea to Ken and Nouri of Khloaris Productions, who had approached me about building a short film from the ground up with them. I initially pitched the idea to Ken and Nouri of Khloaris Productions, who had approached me about building a short film from the ground up with them. The events of the bathtub took place in a dream I had, and looked almost exactly like what you see on the screen. I initially expected them to reject the idea for being too ambitious, but to my surprise they accepted, as long as we could shoot all the live action entirely on green screen. As a result of this strategy, this 15 minute film became a two year process that involved building all the backgrounds as miniatures from scratch, then synchronizing the actors and background’s motion frame by frame, as I didn’t want to sacrifice the organic nature of handheld cinematography. As a result, we were able to create an entire world that moves and breathes as our own - the goal was not to convince you these places held the realism of our world, but rather that the actors you see were truly within them. It is a one of a kind film just as it was a one of a kind experience, and I am truly excited to share my strange and wonderful dream come to life.
